After the Rohtang Pass was thrown open to visitors on June 1, the Himachal Road Transportation Corporation (HRTC) decided to launch two new electric buses, which will run from Manali to Rohtang. The said initiative was launched with the motive of reducing carbon footprint and all to facilitate your travel to the beautiful place, once the route is opened for visitors, it will naturally attract tons of visitors from across the country. Likewise, analyzing the increased influx of visitors on the route motivated the authorities to take this step of introducing electric buses. The introduction of these vehicles on the said route will not only prove to be beneficial to travelers but also to the government.
As per the latest news reports, two electric buses with 25 seating capacity will be leaving early in the morning from the Manali bus stand and will be reaching Rohtang in about 2 hours. The bus will halt there for two hours, after which it will drive back to Manali in the afternoon. To ensure that the ticket prices don’t burn a hole in your pocket, the HRTC has decided to charge INR 600 per seat. Tourists will be benefited from this as the fare per seat is far less than taxi fares. Those willing to take this ride can get their tickets from the counter at the bus stand or can even book them online.
